| Please think long and hard before you take your companion to the shelter. If your dog is turned over, the chances they will be placed in a new home are very slim to nothing. It's almost an instant death sentence & many shelters in NC still use the gas chamber! This is a horrid, evil way for their life to end. Some of the problems you might be experiencing may be very easily fixed if you just know where to go for support!! There are other options. Contact us... we'll be happy to talk over the situation and see if we can guide you to some of these resources, so you and your companion can continue with a happy, healthy life together. If all else fails, or if your mind is set that you no longer want to keep your pet, we'd like to help you safely rehome your dog so they have a chance at the life they deserve. You made the choice to bring your dog into your home and family. They ask nothing of you but love and safety. They do NOT deserve to die because they are no longer convenient or you have come upon some hurdles that are difficult to surmount because you have a pet. Please seek assistance before sending your dog off to be killed. |

| Too many dog owners are very cavalier about how they view their responsibilities when it comes to protecting their pets. You MUST be proactive when it comes to this choice. How unfair is it to bring so many puppies into our community, when they aren't offered the love and care they need and deserve? You can prevent this by spay/neuter for your dog. A little money spent now will save a lot of headache and heartache in your futures. |
